Dividend Income Report: July 2018

june_monthly_report_600x200
What?? July is over already? Wow, the summer is just whizzing by. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we’re just coming out of a heat wave that was not much fun. Our house doesn’t have central AC installed, so we get by on just fans and a portable AC unit. It would be nice to have central air conditioning, but we only need it for just a week or two every year, so it’s hard to justify the expense of upgrading when more important upgrades are needed elsewhere in the house.

So how did my dividend income fare in July? Let’s do the numbers and find out:

AWP $ 50.00
BGY $ 38.00*
CHW $ 21.00*
CIK $ 22.50*
CLM $ 47.30
CODI $144.00
DHY $ 35.00
DMF $ 10.50
DSM $ 19.25
EAD $ 8.32
EDF $ 45.00*
EHI $ 24.40
EXG $114.00*
NCV $ 45.50
NRZ $ 90.00
OIA $ 4.30
PFN $ 36.00
PNNT $ 81.00
RA $ 69.85
VFL $ 15.00
ZTR $ 33.90
TOTAL $954.82

* Includes Return of Capital

That’s a nice total! While not as good as May’s record-breaking $1001.42, it is my second best month ever, so that counts for something.

I’m happy to report no dividends were cut this month, so that’s certainly a plus for July.

One pleasant surprise: CIK raised its monthly dividend from 2.2 cents per share to 2.25 cents (a 2.27% increase). This raises my monthly CIK payout from $22.00 to $22.50. Yes, an extra 50 cents per month isn’t exactly big bucks, but I’ll take it. 🙂

Overall, a tiny dividend increase, no dividend cuts, and my second best monthly total makes July a pretty good month indeed. I wish every month could be this nice.
