You are currently viewing Dividend Income Report: October 2019

Well, I hope you had a great Halloween 2019. I’ve been quite busy the past week doing yard work, taking advantage of the dry (but quite cold) weather that should be sticking around until the end of the first week of November. The market has certainly been doing quite during the past couple weeks, with a bull market still running strong despite the constant warnings that a bear market is lurking just around the corner. Only time will tell, of course.

With October finished, it’s time to do the numbers and add up the month’s dividend income and see what tricks or treats are in store for my dividends…

AWP $ 44.00
BGY $ 33.80*
CHW $ 21.00*
CIK $ 22.50*
CLM $ 46.19
CODI $144.00
DHY $ 33.25
EAD $ 9.44
EDF $ 45.00*
EHI $ 25.40
EXG $ 92.40*
NCV $ 36.75
NRZ $160.00
PFN $ 36.00
PNNT $162.00
RA $ 69.85
ZTR $ 33.90
TOTAL $1015.48

* Includes Return of Capital

Sweeeeet! Another $1K month! Now that is a treat I truly appreciate, so October has proven to be quite kind to my dividend income.

I’m happy to report there weren’t any dividend cuts, nor any dividend increases so the month was pretty much status quo. While dividends didn’t change in October, there was a small change to my portfolio which will have a small negative effect on my dividend income.

About a week ago I sold off 31 shares of RA at $23.00 per share (its 52-week high). Unfortunately, this will knock $6.17 off my future monthly dividend income. It’s a small price to pay, as I needed the money.

In total, October was quite a solid month with another $1K in dividends and no dividend cuts. Let’s hope next month’s dividends will be just as nice.

Thanks MDD! It’s always a great feeling having a four-digit month. This was my third and probably final $1K month for the year. I had hoped for four, but it’s better than 2018’s two $1K months.
