Hope you’re having a great summer. While the serious heat wave we had in June has passed, here in the Pacific Northwest it has been unusually warm, with scarcely any summer thunderstorms and rain. The market has certainly been mildly volatile in July, going down as often as it goes up. The new Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus seems to have cast a bit of a shadow on the market’s optimism about the short-term prospects about the economy.
So how was my dividend total for July? Let’s do the number and see.
AWP $ 44.00
BGY $ 33.80*
CIK $ 22.50*
CLM $ 40.05*
CODI $108.00
DHY $ 27.13*
EDF $ 17.50*
EHI $ 26.80
EXG $ 92.40*
NCV $ 29.75
PFN $ 36.00
PNNT $120.00
ZTR $ 24.00*
TOTAL $621.93
* Includes Return of Capital
$621.93 is certainly nothing to sneeze at, although it is a bit smaller than April’s total which is also the first month of the quarter.
Fortunately, no dividend cuts struck in July, so that’s good. Again, because I needed the money, I sold off 20 shares of CODI at $25.50 per share.
In short, July was a good month with no surprises, which is how I like it.
